Permanent, Part-time role - Lower Hutt location

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity available in the Wellington region for a part time Youth Navigator. The purpose of this role to provide safe, consistent, and tailored support to Rangathi (Youth) by building positive relationships, delivering after-hours support, facilitating programmes and activities that promote independence and life skills, and contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment that supports the wellbeing and development of all Rangatahi.

As a Rangatahi Navigator , you will be responsible for assisting our clients by:

  • Youth Transitional Housing and Engagement

  • Providing after hours support between the hours of 4pm and 8pm

To be successful in this role you need the following:

  • Communicate effectively

  • Work well under pressure

  • Are planned and organised with a high attention to detail

  • Will build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of people

  • Have knowledge/awareness of different cultures

  • Hold a full NZ drivers license

  • A recognised qualification in Youth Work or Social Work
