Tuatahi provides transitional housing for whanau and individuals, for up to 12 weeks in our houses throughout the Wellington and Central region.
We receive referrals via the following:
- The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) 
- Local community groups 
- By self-referral (contacting or visiting us in person), and 
- Other Non-government Organisations or Social Services Providers 
Personal Upskilling
Whilst being in one of our community homes, each person is encouraged to engage in personal up-skilling. This is a critical part of their individual plans.
This may include:
- Parenting classes 
- Budgeting 
- Counselling 
- Anger management 
- Numeracy and literacy 
- Computer classes, 
- Training 
- Finding employment 
Post-Placement and Ongoing Support
Once they are placed into sustainable housing, our amazing support workers will continue to work alongside them to ensure the success of that whanau or individual.
