Tuatahi Centre is an independent arm of the First Community Trust that provides services for whanau/families, children, young people and aiga.
Our vision is that all children, families and individuals in the Wellington region have a safe, secure and warm home with the services and supports necessary to achieve a fulfilling, self-reliant life.
Kia Kaha – Kia Maia – Kia Manawanui
The koru = regeneration of life
The triangles have two meanings
Niho Taniwha = Teeth of the Taniwha or
Kaokao = Literally translated armpit but it speaks of the shape the armpit forms when a mother is breastfeeding. This speaks of the bond and relationship that is created as a foundation in their lives.
The Triangle also represents the Wainui Hill, as The Tuatahi Centre is located right next to it.
